Service Description

This package is designed to take students from unsure and anxious to confident, prepared and ready for their paramedic science interview. It provides a full preparation pathway, combining teaching, practice, and personalised feedback to build strong, structured answers and genuine interview confidence. Each session is 1 hour long and can be booked for a time that suits you. What the Plan Includes 1. Initial Strategy Session – Understanding What Universities Want A comprehensive introduction to how paramedic science interviews work, including: - How universities score interviews - The importance of NHS values and HCPC professionalism - What successful applicants typically demonstrate - How to structure clear, confident answers using the STAR method - Common mistakes and how to avoid them This session builds the foundation for the rest of the programme. 2. Scenario and Communication Workshop A focused practice session exploring realistic interview-style prompts, including: - Ethical dilemmas - Professional behaviour and attitudes - Safeguarding considerations - Teamwork and leadership - Communication challenges and “what would you do?” tasks - Thinking clearly under pressure Students learn how to articulate reasoning, stay calm, and demonstrate insight. 3. Two Full Mock Interviews Students complete two university-style mock interviews with: - A range of realistic questions - Structured scoring - Honest, constructive verbal feedback - Advice on how to strengthen future responses These sessions allow students to apply what they have learned in a realistic, supported environment. 4. Personalised Written Feedback After each mock interview, students receive tailored written notes outlining: - Key strengths - Areas for development - Recommended improvements - Tips specific to their communication style This ensures progress continues outside the session. 5. Free Interview Resource Pack Each student is provided with a comprehensive resource pack containing: - Common paramedic interview questions - STAR templates - NHS values guidance - Professionalism and communication tips - Scenario practice prompts - A pre-interview preparation checklist
